Guru Subhash Chandra

Guru Shri. Subhash Chandra is Nritya Prashikshak Kathak Kendra New Delhi. Desciple of Guru Mohanrao Kalyanpurkar.

An Exponent of Lucknow Gharana. Subhash Chandra was born in Varanasi where he started his dance training in 1976 under Guru Shri. Mohan Krishna. He received rigorous training under the able guidence of the late Mohanrao Kalyanpurkar. He also trained under Guru Munna Lal Shukla in New Delhi. He also trained under Smt. Rohini Bhate in her workshop in Pune.

He is recipient of the prestigious National Scholarship of the Gov. of India for Kathak dance and was also selected for Delhi Doordarshan as a National Artist. Shringar Mani Award by Swami Jamadagni Ashtanga, Delhi 2004
